French/British musician RG Rough is an emblematic figure of the label. He has worked with Richard Pinhas, Makoto Kawabata ( Acid Mothers Temple ) as well as the late New York poet Steve Dalachinsky.
This is a collaboration with violinist Léa Claessens who appeared as a guest on the RG Rough & Makoto Kawabata LP.
This instrumental album is made up of four long tracks based on loose violin/moog improvisations which were subsequently given the full " Rough treatment " in the studio.
Tracks 1 and 2 emphasize the beauty and deep melancholy of the strings with ever expanding layers and harmonies, while tracks 3 and 4 move into
stranger territory where scraping strings collide with rhythms and more abstract sounds...
